FINAL PORTFOLIO
Students should turn in a Portfolio CD containing the original files (.ai or .psd) from all major projects beginning with the movie poster through the CD package and poster by the end of finals week.
This is due in addition to the blog posts on your projects as well as history sites.
CD PACKAGE DESIGN
A. 6 Panel package should include somewhere:
1. name of band
2. logo for band
3. name of CD
4. logo for record company
5. list of contents
You are inventing everything. The package design should convey the contents of the package. (The package design should in some way convey the genre of music, content of music, personality of band) (The bands name and logo should convey a sense of personality as well)
B. 1 poster:
1. CD release date
2. name of CD
3. band name
4. band logo
5. record company logo
On Wed., 12/3/8, we will spend half of the class time on a working critique, discussing our designs in progress.
LOGO Project Critique: Monday, Nov. 17
By Monday, NOV. 17 all components of the LOGO Project should be posted to your BLOGs:

- Original 4 LOGOs
- Next 20 LOGOs (10 variations on 2 of the original 4 LOGOs)
- Final 11"x 17" LOGO poster design
Posted to your Design History Blog:
6 example Logos (1 by Saul Bass, 1 by Paul Rand) w/ a few words explaining what the logo design is saying about the company (or object of the logo design)
ATTENDANCE DURING CLASS CRITIQUES IS MANDATORY
NOTE:
LATE WORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FROM STUDENTS NOT PRESENT DURING THE CLASS CRITIQUE

At least 2 of the projects must be corrected after the class critique, and the correction must be posted along side or immediately above or below the first design by 12.10.8
Also due on 12.10.8 will be a CD of all of the original .psd or .ai files (not .png)
